Palace Explains Reason Prabowo Suddenly Visited Danantara Building

President Prabowo Subianto visited the Danantara Indonesia building in South Jakarta on Thursday (4/6/2026). Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi disclosed that the reason for the visit was to hear a briefing from Danantara regarding the technology sector. Based on CNBC Indonesia’s observation, Prabowo arrived at around 14:00 WIB. The head of state used the main presidential car, the MV3 Garuda Limousine, with the registration plate number RI 1. Prasetyo stated that the president routinely visits Danantara. However, regarding today’s visit, the president simply wished to receive a briefing. “Today there was indeed a briefing concerning technology matters, robotics cooperation, and cooperation in education, particularly STEM, in the context of accelerating the technological mastery we require for the interests of our nation,” said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex on Thursday (4/6/2026). It is known that this is Prabowo’s second appearance at the Danantara Building. The head of state last attended the thanksgiving event for Danantara Indonesia’s 1st Anniversary held at the Danantara Building on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. On that occasion, Prabowo emphasised the importance of improving Danantara Indonesia’s performance to strengthen state asset management and provide a greater contribution to the national economy. According to the head of state, Danantara’s long-term targets remain substantial. Therefore, Prabowo urged Danantara’s leadership to continue improving performance and ensure state asset management is carried out optimally. “In this first year, although I express my gratitude and congratulations on your achievements, I remind you that the targets are still quite far off,” said Prabowo.
