State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has emphasised that there are no plans for a large-scale cabinet reshuffle in the near future. This statement addresses circulating rumours regarding the replacement of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa and several other ministers.

“Once again, as we have stated on several occasions, there is no plan as of today, let alone a large-scale reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet,” said Prasetyorkan, when questioned by journalists at the Presidential Palace Complex on Monday (8/6/2026).

According to Prasetyo, the President’s aides are working hard and focusing on their respective duties. However, he did not rule out the possibility of a reshuffle if it becomes necessary.

“When the time comes, if it is indeed required, we will certainly inform the public,” he added.

Within the parliamentary complex this morning, responses were also provided regarding rumours that senior economist from the University of Indonesia, Chatib Basri, would become the Finance Minister.

“That is not true; there is no plan to replace the Finance Minister. We have repeatedly stated that there is no plan for a reshuffle,” Prasetyo stated.

He also requested that the public refrain from linking specific individuals to certain positions, noting that there is currently no intention to change appointments. “Because, in truth, there is no plan for a replacement. If the President feels that a refreshment or change is necessary, not just in one ministry but across the board, it will be announced to the public when the time comes,” concluded Prasetyo.
