Palace Confirms No Plans Yet for Prabowo to Reshuffle Cabinet

JAKARTA – Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has affirmed that, as of now, President Prabowo Subianto has no plans to carry out a reshuffle of the Red-and-White Cabinet, although evaluations of ministers’ performance continue. Speaking at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/7/2026), Prasetyo said the process of evaluating and monitoring the cabinet line-up is carried out routinely to ensure that government programmes are implemented according to target.

“As we have often said, the process of evaluation or supervision does not always end in a reshuffle,” said Prasetyo.

According to him, the President has his own parameters for evaluating the performance of ministries and officials through coordination, monitoring, and the provision of periodic input.

Beyond performance achievements, ministers’ public communication is also part of the evaluation. Where statements to the public are deemed inappropriate, they will be noted for improvement.

Prasetyo stressed that the processes of monitoring, supervision, and evaluation are carried out so that every ministry implements programmes correctly, swiftly, with good governance, and is able to resolve various issues facing the public.

“There is no reshuffle, not yet a reshuffle, not yet,” he said when answering questions about the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle.
