Palace Confirms No Plans Yet for Prabowo to Reshuffle Cabinet
State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi has confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto currently has no plans to reshuffle the Red and White Cabinet, even though performance evaluations of ministers are ongoing. Speaking at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/7/2026), Prasetyo stated that the evaluation and monitoring process for the cabinet is conducted routinely to ensure the implementation of government programmes runs according to target. “As we have often stated, the evaluation or monitoring process does not always lead to a reshuffle,” Prasetyo said. According to him, the President has his own parameters for evaluating the performance of ministries and officials through regular coordination, monitoring, and feedback. In addition to performance achievements, the public communication aspect of ministers is also part of the evaluation. If there is any inappropriate public messaging, it will be noted for improvement. Prasetyo stressed that the monitoring, supervision, and evaluation process is carried out to ensure each ministry implements programmes correctly, swiftly, with good governance, and is capable of resolving various public issues. “There is no reshuffle yet, no reshuffle, not yet,” he said when answering questions about the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle.
