JAKARTA - The Palace has affirmed that Pertamina will not yet adjust the prices of subsidised or non-subsidised fuel oil (BBM). This was stated by State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi following coordination between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and Pertamina based on instructions from President Prabowo Subianto. “That is why Pertamina has stated that it will not adjust prices for either subsidised BBM or non-subsidised BBM,” Prasetyo said in his statement on Tuesday (31/3/2026). Accordingly, there will be no price increases or adjustments for BBM as of 1 April 2026 tomorrow. The Palace also asked the public not to panic as domestic BBM availability remains secure. “We hope that with this statement, the public can obtain clearer, more accurate information, and we hope the public does not need to panic or worry because we guarantee BBM availability. We guarantee it,” Prasetyo remarked. According to him, Prabowo always prioritises the interests of the people and society in making decisions. Prasetyo reiterated that there will be no BBM price adjustments. “And there will be no price adjustments,” he emphasised again. Several fuels that were rumoured to rise include Pertamax, Pertamax Green 95, Pertamax Turbo, Dex (Pertamina Dex), and Dexlite. Regarding the news of BBM price adjustments, the Director General of Oil and Gas (Migas) at the Ministry of ESDM, Laode Sulaeman, urged the public not to speculate before an official announcement from Pertamina. Meanwhile, PT Pertamina (Persero) has affirmed that information circulating on social media about projected BBM price increases is untrue and cannot be held accountable. According to Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, there is currently no official decision regarding BBM price adjustments as of 1 April 2026.
