The government has once again emphasised that the change in leadership will not disrupt the commitment to implementing the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, which is managed by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Speaking to journalists at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Tuesday, Pras stated that the government hopes the leadership transition at BGN will serve as a momentum to further strengthen the quality of service for the MBCON programme. He noted that the programme plays a vital role in supporting both education and human resource development.

‘Hopefully, this step marks a good beginning for strengthening the delivery of free nutritious meals, ensuring it runs optimally as part of our investment in education and human resources, as well as an embodiment of our manifesto for humanity and social commitment,’ he said. The government expects the MBG programme to not only benefit its recipients but also to drive national economic growth through the involvement of various sectors within the nutritious food supply chain. ‘And certainly, we hope this programme can serve as a driver for the national economy,’ he added.

It is noted that President Prabowo has replaced Dadan and his deputies, Loedwijk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya. On the same occasion, the Deputy Head of BGN, Naniek S. Deyang, was announced as the new Head of BGN. The new leadership structure of the National Nutrition Agency is as follows:

Head of BGN: Nanik S. Deyang

Deputy Head of BGN: Agustina Arum Sari

Deputy Head of BGN: Major General TNI Trenggono
