Palace Cites Discipline Issues Behind Removal of Dadan from National Nutrition Agency

Pras stated that during the evaluation process, several findings served as the basis for President Prabowo’s decision to change the leadership of the BGN. “Certainly, during 1.5 years of monitoring and evaluation, there were many notes that subsequently became the basis for the President’s consideration in making this change. The hope is that these issues can be promptly rectified,” Pras told journalists at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/6/2026).

According to him, the findings covered various aspects, ranging from discipline in implementing standard operating procedures (SOP) to organisational governance. There were also concerns regarding food quality supervision in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.

“Some aspects pertain to discipline in following SOPs, and others relate to discipline in organisational governance,” he said. “This includes discipline in maintaining the quality of food that should have been established by the National Nutrition Agency. These factors have been the basis for consideration over the past 1.5 years.”

When asked whether there was a link to alleged irregularities in the sale and purchase of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) points, Pras replied that this still requires an internal audit process. He emphasised that the removal was part of the overall results of monitoring and evaluation.

“Everything is currently undergoing an internal audit. This is part of the continuous monitoring and evaluation we conduct. We reiterate that we want the National Nutrition Agency to perform its duties and functions as effectively as possible,” he added.

It is reported that Prabowo has removed Dadan along with his deputies, Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya. At the same time, the Deputy Head of the BGN, Naniek S. Deyang, was announced as the new Head of the BGN.
