Surabaya, Kompas.com – Loyalty cards from shopping centres are usually associated with discounts or reward points. But now, benefits cross national borders. That is the direction of a new collaboration between the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk, or Pakuwon Group, which has officially been extended for another two years.

The collaboration, which has been ongoing for two years, is now expanding with more concrete benefits for PG Card holders. Not only is there destination promotion, but direct access to a range of offers in Singapore.

‘The continuing of the collaboration that has been built up and, of course, this time there is an upgrade in what can be done together and the aim is to raise awareness for both Singapore and Indonesia, especially Pakuwon Group,’ he told journalists including Kompas.com.

The latest scheme allows PG Card members to receive various benefits when they are in Singapore. Without additional registration, simply show the membership card.

‘When PJ card members bring their card to Singapore there are many things that can be obtained, for example many attractions that can be watched, by showing the member card,’ said Sutandi.

Some popular destinations such as Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Zoo are part of the benefit network. Not only attractions, CapitaLand’s shopping centres in Singapore are also connected to the programme.

‘Otomatically will be able to enter into APP they can directly get discounts at stores in the plaza Singapore,’ he added.

According to Sutandi, the concept provides added value without a complicated procedure. Something he says is very useful because there is no extra effort and it relies on the member card to obtain advantages in Singapore.

Currently, more than 100,000 Pakuwon members in Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and Solo have been connected to this collaborative system. The integration of four malls in Jakarta is targeted to be completed within the next year.

‘Dimana Jakarta menyusul segera karena saat ini kami masih internally integrate system, supaya nanti setelah integrated bisa totally dan integrate ke Jakarta,’ Sutandi said.
