Pakistan's Defence Minister Calls Israel a "Curse on Humanity"
Istanbul (ANTARA) - Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday evening described Israel as a “curse on humanity” due to the continuing genocide it is perpetrating.
“Israel is a criminal and a curse on humanity. While peace negotiations are taking place in Islamabad, the genocide continues in Lebanon,” Asif said via the X platform.
Innocent civilians continue to be killed by Israel in Gaza, then Iran, and now Lebanon, he stated. “The bloodshed shows no signs of stopping,” the Pakistani Defence Minister added.
Asif also condemned those who created Israel on Palestinian land, saying they would “burn in hell”.
The statement came in the wake of increased intensity of Zionist Israeli attacks in Lebanon, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts following the achievement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, mediated by Pakistan.
While Islamabad and Tehran view the agreed ceasefire as also covering Lebanon, Washington and Tel Aviv have dismissed this.
Zionist Israeli forces have intensified their attacks on Lebanon since Wednesday (8/4), causing at least 303 deaths and 1,150 injuries, according to Lebanese civil defence authorities.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry also stated that increased Israeli attacks on Lebanon since 2 March have resulted in 1,888 civilian deaths and 6,092 injuries.
