Pakistani minister not attending ARF meeting

Pakistan's foreign secretary Riaz Khokhar will represent
Islamabad as a special envoy at the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in
Jakarta on Friday, the Pakistani Embassy in Jakarta said on
Tuesday. "President Pervez Musharraf has authorized him to attend
the ARF meeting in place of the foreign minister and to sign the
Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Jakarta," Moazzam Shah, the
deputy head of the mission, told The Jakarta Post. On Saturday,
Pakistan's prime minister Zafraullah Khan resigned and the
Cabinet was dissolved. -- JP
