Pakistani Embassy clarifies

I am writing to you with reference to news item titled More
Australian fatalities identified (The Jakarta Post, Oct. 7).

In the above news item, the name of one Pakistan national, Dr.
Shahid Mallick, has been included on the list of foreigners still
missing after the bomb explosion in Bali on Oct. 1.

Dr. Shahid Mallick, who was originally listed as missing in
Bali, finally established contact with the Embassy of Pakistan in
Jakarta to confirm that he was safe and sound. According to the
latest information received from the family of Dr. Shahid
Mallick, we confirm that on Oct. 5, Dr. Shahid Mallick returned
to Pakistan.
