Pakistan Urges Restraint Amid Middle East Tensions

Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East and urged all parties to exercise restraint and resolve their differences through dialogue and diplomacy. In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the renewed conflict between the United States and Iran benefits no one. Pakistan called on all sides to refrain from actions that could further undermine regional peace and stability. “There is no alternative but sustained interaction, dialogue and diplomacy to achieve the shared objective of peace in the region,” the statement read. The foreign ministry also urged all parties to uphold their respective commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum, describing it as a sustainable foundation for understanding, mutual respect and shared prosperity for the region and beyond. Pakistan remains prepared to continue playing its role in supporting regional peace and stability, the ministry added.
