Pakistan PM’s Moscow visit delayed, still planned for this year
Moscow — The Russian Embassy in Islamabad said that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Russia this year, although an exact date has not been discussed. Earlier, the prime minister’s office reported that Sharif had decided to postpone the planned visit to Russia due to the regional and domestic political situation at present. Sharif plans to travel to Russia from 3 to 5 March, and he is also scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, among other items on the agenda. ‘We assume the visit will take place soon at a time mutually agreed. The visit is only postponed. The specific date has not been discussed, but is expected this year 2026,’ the embassy told the Izvestia daily.
