Pakistan PM Hopes for Permanent US-Iran Deal Within 60 Days After Ceasefire

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed hope for a permanent agreement within 60 days following the ceasefire reached between the United States and Iran. Addressing the National Assembly, the lower house of Pakistan’s parliament, Sharif described the development as historic and stated that Pakistan had played its role as an intermediary in efforts to bridge the differences between Tehran and Washington. Sharif also disclosed that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday, after which Pakistan and Iran will hold comprehensive discussions on a range of issues.
