Painting Exhibition by Children with Special Needs Highlights Message of Social Inclusion

Paintings by children with special needs and autism were exhibited at an event titled ‘Painting Exhibition by Children with Special Needs and Autism’ in the Foyer Ballroom of Sheraton Bandung. The exhibition served as a space to introduce the creativity and potential of children with special needs to the public. The activity was organised by PT Bank Nano Syariah (Nanobank Syariah) as part of the Generasi Syariah movement, which upholds the values of social care and community empowerment. President Director of PT Bank Nano Syariah, Halim, stated that Generasi Syariah is a movement inviting the public to make sharia values a modern, relevant way of life that benefits others. ‘Generasi Syariah is an invitation to make sharia values part of daily life. It is not to claim that we are the best, but to invite the community to step together towards a better way of life, one that is more caring, more responsible, and more beneficial to others,’ Halim said. He added that sharia values are not only applied in banking business but are also realised through care for the community. Therefore, the exhibition of works by children with special needs is a form of the company’s support for their space to express themselves and develop their potential. ‘We believe that values only have meaning when they are manifested in action. Therefore, through this exhibition, we want to show that care is not just a message delivered, but a real action that provides space, appreciation, and opportunities for them to continue creating,’ he said. According to Halim, Generasi Syariah is built on the belief that progress is not only measured by economic growth or technological development, but also by the community’s ability to grow together and empower one another. Through this movement, Nanobank Syariah seeks to build an ecosystem that connects spiritual values with social contributions by strengthening literacy, collaboration, and various programmes that benefit the community.
