Painters to hold festival in Ubud
DENPASAR, Bali: About 50 Indonesian painters will take part in
a two-week exhibition in Ubud at the Rudana Museum and Gallery,
20 kilometers northeast of here, to celebrate the Indonesian Year
of the Arts.
The exhibition, which will begin on April 18, is to display
about 100 art works, Antara reported yesterday.
According to the organizing committee's chairman, I Nyoman
Rudana, internationally acclaimed artists Bagong Kusudiardjo, I
Made Wianta and Gusti Ketut Kabot will be among those taking
part.
Ubud is home to hundreds of Indonesian painters.
