Painter Widayat hospitalized

YOGYAKARTA: Noted painter Widayat was admitted to the Bethesda
Hospital here on Wednesday for a light stroke and a drop in
glucose level.

The 81-year-old artist was unconscious when he was rushed to
the hospital from his residence in Magelang, some 40 kilometers
north of here, at dawn, his wife said.

Widayat regained consciousness after four hours of medical
treatment.

"He has been suffering from diabetes mellitus for a long
time," his wife said. (44)
