Padel Court Manager Speaks Out on Tree Felling That Sparked Mayor Farhan's Fury
The illegal felling of trees in front of the padel court on Jalan LLRE Martadinata in Bandung has had prolonged repercussions. The manager of the SixNine padel court, Fajar, has now spoken out regarding the incident that provoked the wrath of Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan.
Regarding the planned summons for clarification, the management of the SixNine padel court stated they have not yet received an official summons from the Bandung City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP). Nevertheless, they are committed to being cooperative and following the applicable legal procedures.
“I haven’t received the official copy yet. Maybe I also don’t know whether it went directly to management or not,” Fajar said on Monday (3/8/2026). Fajar assured that the SixNine padel court management will comply with the summons from the relevant authorities once an official letter is received. “Definitely, we will just follow the applicable procedures. It’s just that, as of now, we here in the daily management haven’t received any copy,” he added.
Regarding the alleged environmental violation, Fajar detailed the chronology from the management’s perspective. He explained that the padel court had only just begun operating for a free trial phase on 20 June 2026.
