Padang to have a five-day week
PADANG, West Sumatra: After the Idul Fitri holiday, starting on Nov. 9, the West Sumatra provincial administration will introduce a five-day working week.
"After Idul Fitri, we'll have a five-day week, with Saturdays and Sundays off," said Deputy Governor Marlis Rahman on Monday.
He said the move had already been agreed to by all regental and municipal administrations in the province but not all would start it on the same day.
Agam regency, he said, would start the five-day working week on Nov. 14 while Padang municipality started it on Oct. 17. -- Antara.
