Padang to have a five-day week
PADANG, West Sumatra: After the Idul Fitri holiday, starting
on Nov. 9, the West Sumatra provincial administration will
introduce a five-day working week.
"After Idul Fitri, we'll have a five-day week, with Saturdays
and Sundays off," said Deputy Governor Marlis Rahman on Monday.
He said the move had already been agreed to by all regental
and municipal administrations in the province but not all would
start it on the same day.
Agam regency, he said, would start the five-day working week
on Nov. 14 while Padang municipality started it on Oct. 17. --
