Padang Panjang Wins 2026 IKD Dukcapil Prima Award, Strengthens Digital Service Transformation
The digital transformation of population administration services in Padang Panjang City has once again received national recognition. Through the Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil), Padang Panjang succeeded in winning the 2026 IKD Dukcapil Prima Award from the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The award was presented by Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian to the Head of the Padang Panjang City Disdukcapil, Rudy Suarman, during the series of the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of Dukcapil and the Release of Semester I 2026 Population Data in Jakarta on Monday, 3 August 2026.
Mayor of Padang Panjang, Hendri Arnis, appreciated the achievement. According to Hendri, this award is proof that the municipal government’s commitment to providing easy, fast, and high-quality public services continues to yield results. "This award is the result of the hard work of all ranks, especially Disdukcapil, in providing services that are increasingly easy, fast, and digitally based. We will continue to encourage innovation so that the community receives increasingly better and more efficient services," said Hendri.
He stated that digital transformation is an important part of building professional, transparent, and accountable governance, oriented towards the needs and satisfaction of the community. Hendri hopes this achievement will not be the end point, but rather a spur for the municipal government to continue presenting public service innovations. According to him, technological developments must be utilised to cut unnecessary service processes while providing convenience for the community in obtaining government services.
Meanwhile, Rudy Suarman said this award serves as motivation for the Disdukcapil team to continue improving the quality of population administration services. "This award is a mandate as well as an encouragement for us to keep innovating. Going forward, we will continue to optimise the activation and utilisation of IKD so that more people can feel the benefits of digital population administration services," he said.
Rudy explained that IKD is one of the important instruments in the digital transformation of population administration. Therefore, Disdukcapil will continue to encourage the public to activate and utilise IKD in accessing population administration services. The 2026 IKD Dukcapil Prima Award is given to local governments deemed to have commitment, innovation, and achievements in accelerating the activation and utilisation of IKD as part of the digital transformation of public services. Rudy affirmed that this achievement will be a foundation for Disdukcapil to continue strengthening population administration service innovations that are easily accessible, secure, and responsive to community needs. "The most important thing is how this award can be a motivation to provide better services. Digital transformation must truly provide benefits and convenience for the community," he said.
