Padang Municipal Drinking Water Company earns first halal certificate in Sumatra

ANTARA - The Padang City Regional Drinking Water Public Company (Perumda AM) in Padang City, West Sumatra Province, has become the only water utility on the island of Sumatra to obtain a halal certificate from the Halal Product Assurance Body (BPJPH). The certificate was handed over at the Padang City Drinking Water Public Company office on Thursday, 5 March, with Padang Mayor Fadly Amran hoping that the halal certification will become a significant milestone for Perumda AM in improving the quality of clean water services for the community.
