Temporary housing (Huntara) residents in Kampung Nelayan, Lubuk Buaya Village, Koto Tangah District, received three sacrificial cows on Thursday, 28 May. The aid was distributed to 110 households in the Huntara community. The distribution was carried out in phases: two cows were handed over on 27 May 2026 by Padang City Government and Andalas University Faculty of Medicine, while the third was provided by DMDI Sumatera Barat, with Padang Mayor and DMDI Sumatera Barat Chair Fadly Amran in attendance. Koto Tangah District Head Rio Ebu Pratama confirmed the district’s sacrificial activities were proceeding smoothly, stating, ‘This year’s total sacrificial activities in Koto Tangah include 1,621 cows, 154 goats, and five buffaloes. Specifically for Huntara, three cows have been distributed.’ The initiative reflects gratitude to Allah SWT for His blessings and continued prosperity.
