Padang gets new hotel

JAKARTA (JP): An international hotel will open next month in
Padang of West Sumatra, featuring the distinctive, gentle and
refined Minangkabau culture, while offering international
standards of hospitality.

General Manager Horst J. Soeller said in a statement made
available yesterday that the eight-story hotel, called Sedona
Bumi Minang, has 164 rooms, including a number of suites.

He said the hotel is located in the heart of the city, just 20
minutes from the airport.(31)
