Padang City Government Distributes Presidential Aid to Disaster Victims
Padang City — The Padang City Government in West Sumatra has distributed presidential aid alongside livelihood guarantee assistance and economic stimulus packages to communities affected by hydrometeorological disasters in late November 2025.
“This aid distribution is being carried out in phases in accordance with field verification results,” said Padang Mayor Fadly Amran in Padang on Monday.
The former Padang Panjang Mayor explained that the distributed assistance comprises livelihood guarantees (jadup), temporary housing provisions (huntara), and economic stimulus for affected residents.
“Additionally, we are also distributing religious equipment and clothing aid from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto,” he stated.
The government has allocated temporary housing social assistance of IDR 3 million per household to 72 households living in the Lubuk Buaya huntara facilities. To support business recovery, the government is providing economic stimulus assistance of IDR 5 million per household to 112 households.
“For residents who have not yet been registered, we urge them to immediately coordinate with their village and sub-district authorities so that further data collection can be conducted,” he said.
Padang City Social Services Head Eri Sendjaya explained that livelihood guarantee assistance for disaster victims in the area has been provided to 581 individuals, whilst temporary housing and economic stimulus assistance has been distributed to 730 households. The aid recipients are spread across four disaster-affected sub-districts: Koto Tangah, Nanggalo, Kuranji, and Pauh.
