Pacitan to Maintain Mini Job Fairs through 2027

Pacitan, East Java — The Pacitan Department of Trade and Manollpower (Disdagnaker) in East Java has reaffirmed its commitment to organising mini job fairs in 2027, following an assessment that the format is more efficient in connecting job seekers with companies amidst budget adjustments.

Supriyono, Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Division at Disdagnaker Pacitan, stated on Saturday that the mini job fair concept will be maintained as it is considered more cost-effective than conducting large-scale job exchanges.

“God willing, we will hold the mini job fair again in 2027 because it is more efficient,” he said in Pacitan.

Throughout 2026, Disdagnaker Pacitan has organised three mini job fairs. During the most recent event, the activity involved six companies offering a total of approximately 250 job vacancies.

Participating companies included Indomarco (Indomaret), Alfamart, Bank BTN Syariah, Primakarya Sarana Sejahtera, Swakarya Insan Mandiri, and Senik Rumah Tumbuh Indonesia.

According to Supriyono, two of the companies originated from outside Pacitan, while the remainder were companies operating within the local area or its surroundings.

He explained that the number of participating companies increased beyond the initial target of five. The high level of corporate interest serves as a positive indicator for the success of the mini job fair format.

“Our target was five companies, but in the last implementation, there were six companies participating because the enthusiasm from employers was quite high,” he noted.

During the three sessions held in 2026, hundreds of job seekers were recorded participating in the activities to obtain information and direct employment opportunities from the participating companies.

Disdagnaker Pacitan considers the mini job fair to be an effective medium for bringing job seekers and the business world together without requiring large organisational costs. The programme is also part of the local government’s efforts to reduce unemployment rates and expand access to employment opportunities for the community, particularly for school and university graduates in Pacitan.

Despite being presented in a simpler format, Disdagnaker ensured that the mini job fair remains an annual agenda and will be held again in 2027, subject to labour market needs and budget availability.
