Owner of Semarang's Al Amanah Umrah Bureau Arrested for Deceiving Prospective Pilgrims

Reported by detikJateng on Thursday (30/4/2026), Semarang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief AKBP Andika Dharma Sena confirmed that the suspect has been named as such since Tuesday (28/4). “Yes, that’s correct (he has been named a suspect); we detained him since Tuesday, if I’m not mistaken,” Andika said when contacted by detikJateng. Andika stated that the suspect, initialled HU, has been charged under articles for fraud and embezzlement. A total of three victims have reported to the Semarang City Police regarding the alleged fraud committed by HU. Previously, two victims, each suffering losses of Rp50 million, had reported. They claimed to have received refunds of only Rp30 million and Rp20 million. “We have then conducted examinations of witnesses, around 15 witnesses, including the victims,” he added.
