Owner of Bibi Kelinci Restaurant Withdraws Theft Report Against Zendhy Kusuma and Wife
Jakarta – Nabilah O’Brien, owner of Bibi Kelinci restaurant in Kemang, has withdrawn a theft report she filed against guitarist Zendhy Kusuma and his wife.
“Yes, we have withdrawn the report,” said Nabilah’s legal representative, Goldie Natasya Swarovski, to Kompas.com on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
The report was withdrawn after Nabilah, along with Zendhy and his wife, participated in mediation facilitated by the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim Polri) on Sunday, 8 March 2026. Through this mediation, both parties agreed to settle.
As a result, the claim regarding the overpayment would neither be collected nor refunded by Nabilah’s side.
“In the mediation there was none. We only received proof of payment from the investigator,” said Goldie.
Kompas.com contacted the Public Relations Chief of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, regarding the withdrawal of this report. However, no response had been received at the time of publication.
The incident began when Zendhy and his wife visited Bibi Kelinci restaurant on Friday, 19 September 2025. Both reportedly felt dissatisfied because their order took longer to arrive than expected.
Restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien explained that there was a surge in orders at that time, which resulted in longer serving times.
“This woman entered the kitchen, which is prohibited, verbally abused my head chef and threatened to wreck my restaurant,” said Nabilah in a post on her Instagram account, @nabobrien.
Following the incident, the couple allegedly assaulted the head chef and a pregnant employee.
Based on the printed receipt, the restaurant’s losses were estimated at Rp530,150 (approximately £22).
After the incident, Nabilah sent a formal notice of demand that went unanswered. She subsequently filed a report with Mampang Police Station on 25 September 2025.
The couple was then designated as suspects in the theft case.
Conversely, Nabilah was reported by the couple to Bareskrim Polri on allegations of defamation and slander on social media. Nabilah was designated as a suspect on 28 February 2026.
