Overseeing LRT City Case, Andre Rosiade Assures Government Is Present to Resolve the Issue
Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Andre Rosiade, has assured that the government is present in efforts to resolve the problems faced by consumers of the LRT City project. Andre stressed that the DPR, together with relevant parties, continues to oversee the resolution process so that the matter does not drag on.
Andre said discussions have been held with Commission VI Chairman Anggia Ermarini and a number of parties, including PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk, and Danantara, to find the best solution for consumers.
“We are not making empty promises. I want to give you a true picture. This is the reality we face. I do not want to make promises; I want this problem to be resolved,” Andre said at a meeting held on Wednesday (19/8/2026).
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Faction in the DPR, one option being discussed is funding support through the government as shareholder. However, this step must go through proper study and procedures because it involves state funds.
“The only viable solution is for the government to be present here as the government, as shareholder,” he stressed.
Andre explained that relevant parties have been asked to prepare a comprehensive study on the funding needed to fulfil obligations to consumers. The study will serve as the basis for determining the settlement mechanism.
Andre emphasised that the process does take time because the government must ensure all decisions have a legal basis and are accountable.
He said the resolution process involves Danantara Asset Management, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, and PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk. The three parties are being encouraged to complete the study and determine funding needs in a measurable way.
Andre Rosiade said he does not want to give empty promises to consumers who have been waiting for certainty.
“I do not want to make promises to you. I want to give you information. These are the results of the meeting, this is what we are working on,” Andre said.
In addition to the funding support option, Andre revealed there is an option for credit restructuring for consumers experiencing difficulty paying instalments. A number of banks have reportedly expressed readiness to help through restructuring schemes.
“The banks have already agreed to help with restructuring,” he said.
Andre will also coordinate with Commission XI of the DPR to discuss regulatory aspects related to credit restructuring with private banks. According to him, relevant parties will meet again on 8 October 2026 to discuss progress on resolving the LRT City consumer issue.
The meeting will involve relevant parties, including Danantara Asset Management, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk, and consumer representatives. The 8 October meeting is intended to serve as a forum to push for a final resolution of the problems faced by consumers.
“We want this problem to be resolved. The government is present and we will oversee it together so that your issues can be resolved,” he concluded.
