Overland Travel from Lampung to Palembang via Toll Road: Budget Your Funds Accordingly

The 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday season is approaching, prompting many Indonesians to plan their homecoming journeys. For those travelling overland from Lampung to Palembang, the Trans Sumatra Toll Road offers a faster alternative to reach their destination.

According to the latest data from the Toll Road Regulatory Authority (BPJT), travellers from Lampung to Palembang can use the following route:

1. Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll: IDR 254,000

2. Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung Toll: IDR 255,500

3. Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung Toll: IDR 50,000

Toll Fees

For Class 1 vehicles, the Bakauheni to Terbanggi Besar toll costs IDR 254,000. The Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung toll costs IDR 255,500, whilst the Kayu Agung-Palembang toll costs IDR 50,000. The total toll fare amounts to IDR 559,500.

Should travellers continue from Palembang to Indralaya and on to Prabumulih, an additional toll fee of IDR 112,000 applies.
