Overhead Power Line Poles Collapse Following Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train Collision with Truck at Poris
A trailer truck was struck by the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train as it passed through a level crossing at Poris Station, Batuceper, Tangerang City. Two overhead power line (LAA) poles along the track collapsed as a result of the collision.
"Two electrical pole points were hit and fell — they collapsed," said Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari to reporters on Friday (20/2/2026).
Police are still carrying out the evacuation process. Jauhari said the truck's position was blocking the railway track.
"This is the railway's electrical line, and the container body of the vehicle is currently obstructing the rail track. So it is being evacuated and removed so that the railway can return to normal operations," he explained.
**Truck Dragged 100 Metres**
Raden explained that the accident occurred at approximately 06.05 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) that morning. It began when the trailer truck was travelling from Cipondoh towards Daan Mogot.
"When the railway crossing barrier was activated, the vehicle entered the rail track. The truck's cab had already cleared the rails, but the container body was still on the crossing," Jauhari said.
Jauhari said the incident caused the trailer truck to be dragged some distance from the initial point of impact at the crossing.
"It was dragged approximately 100 metres from the railway crossing," he added.
The evacuation of the train and the truck involved in the accident is still ongoing. The operation is being conducted by a joint team from KAI (Indonesian Railways), Tangerang City Metropolitan Police, and the Tangerang City Transport Agency.
As a consequence of the accident, traffic around Poris Station experienced severe congestion. Tangerang City Metropolitan Police have implemented traffic management measures around the scene.
The following traffic diversion routes were put in place:
- From Jakarta (Jl. Daan Mogot) towards Cipondoh: diverted at the Ampera three-way junction, directed via Jl. Jenderal Sudirman towards Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari.
- From Cipondoh (Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari) towards Daan Mogot: diverted via Jl. Benteng Betawi towards Jl. Jenderal Sudirman.
- From Jl. Benteng Betawi towards Jakarta: diverted via Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari — Gondrong traffic lights — Jl. H. Mansyur — Jl. KH Ahmad Dahlan.
