REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed slightly weaker throughout the trading week of 23–27 March 2026. The Indonesia Stock Exchange recorded a decline in market capitalisation to Rp12.516 trillion amid varied transaction movements.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) noted that the IHSG closed at 7,097.057, down 0.14% from the previous week’s level of 7,106.839. This decline occurred amid an increase in daily transaction activity in the stock market.

The BEI stated that the highest increase was in the average daily transaction value, which rose 15.27% to Rp23.33 trillion from Rp20.24 trillion the previous week. “Stock trading data at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the period 23–27 March 2026 closed varied,” the BEI wrote in its statement, quoted on Sunday (29/3/2026).

Additionally, the average daily transaction frequency also increased by 9.01% to 1.73 million transactions from 1.59 million transactions the previous week. This increase indicates that trading activity remains quite high despite the weakening index.

However, negative performance was evident in the market capitalisation, which fell 0.24% to Rp12.516 trillion from Rp12.547 trillion. The average daily transaction volume also declined by 4.81% to 28.31 billion shares from the previous 29.74 billion shares.

On the other hand, foreign investors continued to record net sales of Rp1.76 trillion throughout the week. Cumulatively since the beginning of 2026, the net sales value by foreign investors has reached Rp30.88 trillion.
