Over a Dozen US Scientists Die and Disappear Mysteriously: Here's the List

The US government will conduct an investigation into more than 10 important scientists who have died or disappeared mysteriously. Since 2022, there have been 11 scientists in America who have died or gone missing in connection with US space, nuclear, or defence programmes. The news has been widely discussed by netizens and has sparked wild conspiracy theories. Citing USA Today, US President Donald Trump said the phenomenon is likely just a coincidence. However, his administration will continue to monitor the cases. “Hopefully, I don’t know, coincidence or whatever you want to call it. But some are very important people. We will monitor it in the near future,” Trump told reporters, quoted on Sunday (26/4/2026). Meanwhile, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that the government is currently partnering with the FBI and related agencies to conduct an investigation. The US government’s attention comes after reports in several media outlets emerged, coupled with speculation spreading on the internet. Additionally, there are calls from two Republican Party members serving as Congressmen, James Comer and Eric Burlison. For information, those who have died and disappeared have access to sensitive US scientific information. Comer and Burlison have written to the FBI, NASA, Department of Energy, and Department of War. List of deceased scientists: - Amy Eskridge Independent researcher in UFOs and antigravity. Died on 11 June 2022, said to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The first case reviewed by the FBI. - Michael David Hicks (59 years old) Died at home in 2023, cause not specified. Hicks was an asteroid and deep space scientist. - Frank Maiwald (61 years old) NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory expert in microwave radiometry. Died on 4 July 2024, cause not disclosed and no statement from NASA. - Professor Nuno FG Loureiro (47 years old) Nuclear expert from MIT, shot in front of his home on 16 December 2025. The perpetrator is said to have committed suicide. - Carl Grillmair (67 years old) CalTech astrophysicist researching dark matter, exoplanets, etc. Died from a shooting on his home terrace on 16 February 2026. Personal and work mobile phones factory reset. - Steven Garcia Government contractor monitoring nuclear weapons assets from Kansas City National Security Campus. Missing since 28 August 2025. Last seen on CCTV leaving home on foot carrying a pistol. Car and personal belongings left behind. - Major General William McCasland (68 years old) Retired US Air Force, former Commander of US Air Force Research Lab. Missing since 27 February 2026. Left home on foot carrying a revolver towards the Sandia Mountains, New Mexico.
