Over 600 Police Personnel Ready to Secure Eid Holiday Travel Flow on Major Routes and Toll Roads in Cimahi-West Bandung
More than 600 National Police (Polri) personnel have been deployed to secure and safeguard Eid holiday travel flow and return journeys during the 2026 Operation Ketupat in Cimahi City, West Bandung Regency (KBB), and Margaasih. Officers will be on duty throughout Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026, which runs from 13-25 March 2026.
“This demonstrates our readiness to manage and secure activities during the Eid holiday or Hari Raya Idulfitri 1447 Hijriah. We have deployed 667 personnel distributed across the operational area for approximately 13 days,” said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko Nurallah Adi Putra following the Operation Ketupat 2026 personnel roll-call at Cimahi Police Headquarters on Thursday (12 March 2026).
Twelve service posts have been established within Cimahi Police District jurisdiction to provide assistance to holiday travellers. West Bandung Regency serves as a transit corridor for travellers using both major arterial routes and toll roads. For toll routes, travellers typically proceed from Jakarta-Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (KBB)-Cileunyi or Soroja.
Non-toll access routes typically pass through West Bandung from Jakarta-Bogor-Sukabumi-Cianjur-Cipatat-Padalarang via Cipatat-Padalarang Highway, from Karawang-Purwakarta-Cikalongwetan-Padalarang via Purwakarta Highway, and from Subang via Lembang heading towards Cimahi City-Bandung and the Priangan region, including Garut, Tasikmalaya, and surrounding areas.
“These are the routes we must secure. Our primary objective is to ensure the safety and comfort of holiday travellers. We are certainly collaborating with relevant stakeholders from the regional government,” stated Niko.
