Over 2.8 Million Vehicles Pass Through the Nusantara Regional Toll Road Sections
Jasa Marga, through its Jasamarga Nusantara Tollroad Regional Division (JNT/Regional Nusantara), recorded growth in traffic volume on the Nusantara Regional toll roads during the Eid al-Fitr 1447H homecoming and return period. From 11 to 25 March 2026, or H-10 to H+4 of Eid 2026, the total traffic volume reached 2,875,280 vehicles.
“This figure indicates an increase of 5.21% compared to the normal daily traffic volume of 2,732,860 vehicles,” stated the President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, in an official statement on Thursday (26/3).
The breakdown of traffic volume on the four Nusantara Regional toll road sections up to H+4 of Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 is as follows: the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road recorded 278,859 vehicles passing through, an increase of 23.19% from the normal total traffic volume of 226,358 vehicles.
Based on operational data, 84,510 vehicles were recorded entering from the Kualanamu Toll Gate originating from the direction of Kualanamu International Airport. This figure is 19.87% higher than the normal total traffic volume passing through the Kualanamu Toll Gate, which is 70,503 vehicles.
Meanwhile, 90,145 vehicles were recorded heading to Kualanamu International Airport via the Kualanamu Toll Gate, an increase of 19.38% from the normal total traffic volume of 75,512 vehicles.
For the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road, the traffic volume was recorded at 231,159 vehicles, or an increase of 47.78% from the normal traffic volume of 156,424 vehicles.
Then, on the Manado-Bitung Toll Road section: the traffic volume was recorded at 103,356 vehicles, or an increase of 4.84% compared to the normal traffic volume of 98,587 vehicles.
The total vehicles on the Solo-Yogyakarta NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road Segment Kartasura-Prambanan section amounted to 403,685 vehicles, or an increase of 101.65% from the normal total traffic volume of 200,195 vehicles. A total of 206,034 vehicles were recorded heading to Yogyakarta via the Prambanan Toll Gate, an increase of 101.91% compared to the normal total traffic volume of 102,040 vehicles. Meanwhile, 104,718 vehicles were recorded leaving Yogyakarta via the Prambanan Toll Gate, an increase of 1.93% compared to the normal total traffic volume of 102,731 vehicles.
Rivan advised the public to avoid peak homecoming traffic by taking advantage of a 30% toll discount. The discount applies to continuous journeys on Jasa Marga Group toll roads, including the Medan-Belawan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) Toll Road and the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) Toll Road.
“This discount will be implemented starting today, 26 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 27 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB,” he said.
Jasa Marga also reminded toll road users to prepare well for travel during the long Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 holiday period. Before entering the toll road, ensure that both the vehicle and the driver are in prime condition, confirm sufficient fuel and electronic money balance, and comply with signs and instructions from on-site officers.
