Outrage Over Sex Scandal Involving Female Executive at Banking Giant, Victim Files Lawsuit

A lawsuit is shaking up JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank in the United States and the seventh-largest in the world. A woman, a senior executive, is accused of turning her subordinate into an “office sex slave” through career threats, manipulation, and alleged use of drugs. According to legal documents cited by British media outlet The Sun, Lorna Hajdini (37) is suspected of sexually harassing a junior married male banker. The victim, using the pseudonym “John Doe,” claims he was forced into non-consensual sexual acts for months. In the lawsuit, the victim states that the harassment began shortly after Hajdini joined the team in April 2024. It started with unwanted touches but escalated to coerced sexual relations. “If you don’t have sex with me right now, I’ll destroy you… I really own you,” reads the threat quoted in the lawsuit filing, as reported on Monday (4/5/2026). Not only that, Hajdini is also accused of drugging the victim with a substance known as a “date rape drug” and providing other substances that affect sexual performance. Her senior position is said to have been exploited to control the victim’s bonuses, promotions, and career future at the company. However, JPMorgan Chase has strongly denied the allegations. In its statement, the bank said its internal investigation found no evidence supporting the claims in the lawsuit. Court records in New York show that the lawsuit has been filed in the New York State Supreme Court. Nevertheless, full details of the allegations are not yet available to the public. This case adds to the long list of legal and reputational pressures facing JPMorgan. Previously, the bank was embroiled in a case related to Jeffrey Epstein. In 2023, JPMorgan agreed to settlements of US$290 million (approximately Rp4.93 trillion) and US$75 million (approximately Rp1.28 trillion) without admitting wrongdoing, related to allegations of providing financial services to Epstein’s sex trafficking network. Additionally, last January, US President Donald Trump sued JPMorgan for US$5 billion (approximately Rp85 trillion), accusing the bank of political discrimination. That lawsuit has been denied and is currently being processed for dismissal in court.
