Outer Island Residents in Thousand Islands Enjoy Mobile Licensing Services
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Residents of the outermost island in DKI Jakarta, namely Sabira Island, Pulau Harapan Urban Village, Thousand Islands, enjoyed the Mobile Integrated Services (PTK) from the Thousand Islands Investment Management and One-Stop Integrated Services Unit (UP PMPTSP) through the Peduli Pulau programme on 23-24 July 2026.
“The two-day activity received an enthusiastic response from residents who made use of various administrative and licensing services, ranging from consultations to processing licensing documents,” said Head of the Thousand Islands UP PMPTSP, Wachid Wahyudi, in Jakarta on Friday.
He said the Peduli Pulau programme is an effort to bring public services closer, faster and more accessible to communities on the outermost islands.
“Today, we are present through the Peduli Pulau programme with the Mobile Integrated Services,” said Wachid.
His office also collaborated with ministries, regional apparatus, institutions, state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD) to provide easier services for the people of the Thousand Islands, particularly residents of Sabira Island.
Wachid explained that services on Sabira Island were carried out over two days to make it easier for residents to handle various administrative and licensing needs without having to travel to mainland Jakarta.
After services on Sabira Island concluded, the programme will continue to other islands.
“In early August, we are scheduled to provide services to the community on Untung Jawa Island,” said Wachid.
“This programme is very helpful for residents because services have become more accessible, fast and efficient without having to cross to another island,” said Abdul.
Meanwhile, Zulkifli (32), a resident of RT 01/RW 03, Sabira Island, said he was helped by the service. He took the opportunity to process a Cemetery Land Use Permit (IPTM).
“A service like this is very helpful because we do not need to leave the island to process permits. The process is also easy and the officers explained things well,” said Zulkifli.
Similarly, Yakub, a resident of RT 02/RW 03, said he used the service to consult on licensing administration.
“The presence of mobile services makes it easier for the community to obtain information and complete administrative needs directly,” said Yakub.
Sabira Island is part of the northernmost section of the Thousand Islands, covering an area of 8.82 hectares.
The outermost island lies 160 kilometres from Tanjung Priok (North Jakarta) and directly borders Lampung Province, so reaching the location takes a considerable amount of time.
