Outcry as primary school pupil found dead with multiple injuries in West Bandung Regency home
A 12-year-old primary school pupil from Kampung Warung Tiwu, Cipatat Village, Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency, was found dead at his home with multiple injuries. The victim’s mobile phone was also missing from the crime scene. The discovery was made on Tuesday, 3 February 2026. The boy, aged 12, died after sustaining several injuries, which police believe caused his death, his body found by his mother who had just returned from madrasah after teaching Qur’anic recitation. She searched the ground floor and then the second floor of the house but could not find him, until the body was found on the second floor with the mattress turned over. Police say four injuries were found on the body, including a wound to the neck and numerous injuries on the back. The missing phone has not yet been confirmed to be linked to a robbery or not. “The items missing are the victim’s phone,” said Cipatat Police Chief Kompol Iwan Setiawan. Investigators, including officers from Cimahi Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit, are continuing to interview witnesses to uncover the case.
