An apparent human skeleton was found in the concession area of PT RAPP in Bukit Raya Village, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau. The skeleton is believed to be a man identified by the initials T (47), who has been reported missing since 18 February 2026.

The Kuansing Police Chief, AKBP Hidayat Permana, said the skeleton was discovered on Wednesday (4 March) around 10:00 WIB, precisely in the Compartment E 057 area of PT RAPP Estate Tesso, West Tesso Block, Bukit Raya Village, Singingi Hilir District, Kuansing.

The discovery was initially made by a witness with the initials DS, an employee of PT RAPP who was clearing weeds. He received information from a local resident with the initials P who claimed to have seen the skeleton scattered around the location.

‘Initially, DS was clearing weeds, then he was informed by worker P who claimed to have found the skeleton near the spraying location,’ Hidayat said in a statement on Thursday (5 March 2026).

DS then, with witness P, went to the location to verify the discovery. After confirming it was indeed a human skeleton, they reported it to a foreman with initials ME.

‘Then at the location also found a Suzuki Smesh motorcycle without a number plate near the discovery,’ he said.

The finding was reported to Singingi Hilir Police Sector. Police and PT RAPP personnel then checked the site and conducted a crime scene examination.

‘We are currently carrying out in-depth investigations to determine the cause of the victim’s death,’ he concluded.
