Mobility among the public during the first and second days of Eid 2026 remains high and is observed to have increased significantly compared to normal conditions. Madiun (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Ngawi Kertosono Kediri (JNK) recorded a high volume of vehicles passing through the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road and exiting the Main Toll Gate (GT) in Madiun, East Java, on the second day (H2) of Eid 2026, or Sunday. The President Director of PT JNK, Arie Irianto, in Madiun on Sunday, stated that overall public mobility during the first and second days of Eid 2026 remains high and is monitored to have increased significantly compared to normal conditions. “According to the data, on the first day of Eid 2026, a total of 13,465 vehicles were recorded exiting the Madiun GT, an increase of 146.61% compared to normal traffic of 5,460 vehicles,” he said. According to him, on this second day of Eid, the number of vehicles distributed exiting through the Madiun Toll Gate is also predicted to remain high. He stated that this increase reflects public mobility during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming momentum, which is still ongoing. JNK continues to ensure operational readiness at all service points to support the smoothness, safety, and comfort of road users’ journeys. Arie Irianto conveyed that despite the significant increase in vehicles, his side ensures that traffic flow on the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road exiting at the three toll gates in its area, namely Madiun GT, Caruban GT, and Nganjuk GT, remains smooth. This is because the entire operational team has been prepared to anticipate the increased traffic flow during the Eid period. “We are committed to providing service with full dedication to all road users. We urge road users to ensure travel readiness, including vehicle condition and sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road,” he said. As a form of support for smooth travel, road users are also advised to download the Travoy application to obtain real-time information on traffic conditions, rest area locations, toll rates, and emergency services. JNK also reminds road users to continue prioritising safety, maintaining a safe distance, and resting at rest areas if experiencing fatigue during the journey. “For traffic information and toll road services, road users can contact the Call Centre at 133,” he said.
