Out-of-control motorcycle rider dies after colliding with LPJU pole in Banjarangkan, Klungkung

I Kadek Andre A died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a LPJU pole along Jalan Raya Banjarangkan, Klungkung, Bali. The deadly accident occurred on Saturday (7/3/2026) in the early hours. Klungkung Police Public Relations Head Iptu I Dewa Nyoman Alit Purnawibawa said that Andre initially rode a motorcycle with plate number DK 4864 NJ from the west to the east. While passing in front of Goa Jepang, Klungkung, the rider’s speed became out of control as he traversed a downhill road and took a bend. According to Purnawibawa, the 22-year-old rider’s motorcycle swung out of control and eventually hit a pole on the roadside. The impact was severe and caused Andre’s head to injure. “The victim’s head struck the LPJU pole and he was pronounced dead at the scene,” Purnawibawa said on Saturday. Purnawibawa suspected the hard impact to the head was the cause of death. He said no other injuries were found on the victim’s body. At present, the victim’s body is temporarily kept in the mortuary at RSUD Klungkung. He estimated the loss from the incident to be around Rp 2 million.
