Otospector Prevents Rogue Used Car Inspectors Through App System
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Used car inspection service provider Otospector relies on a digital system and multi-layered verification mechanisms to prevent potential fraud by inspectors or field inspection officers, which often occurs in the vehicle inspection industry. Founder and CEO of Otospector, Jeffrey Andika, stated that this step is taken to maintain the accuracy of inspection results while building consumer trust in the used car market. “The key is definitely in the system; our inspection officers inspect vehicles using an app that is directly connected to our head office, and they will receive detailed tasks with our standard checklist, and that checklist will require verification photos that are randomly requested,” he said in Jakarta on Thursday. The assessment process is handed over to a special verification team at the head office after all data and photo evidence are uploaded. “The verification team will re-check and ensure everything is correct,” Jeffrey said. Field findings are integrated into the system to improve accuracy and minimise manipulation loopholes by field inspectors. On the other hand, the company also implements a warranty scheme as an additional quality control measure. “As long as the car’s condition score result is B, it means Otospector states that this car’s condition is good, which is why we provide a one-month warranty that can be extended up to a year; we have even recently launched warranties of two to three years,” Jeffrey added. With a combination of system, verification, and warranty, Otospector suppresses the risk of fraudulent practices while ensuring inspection results remain objective and credible.
