Otospector offers used-car warranty of up to three years
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesia’s used-car market continues to attract buyers amid a wide range of new models hitting the market. For some, a used car is a more affordable option that can meet mobility needs without a heavy outlay.
But behind that, potential buyers often confront the same worry: buyers remain hesitant about ensuring the vehicle is in genuinely good condition and will not incur large repair costs after purchase.
To address these concerns, Otospector has introduced a used-car warranty programme of up to three years. The programme, launched in February 2026, is designed to provide additional protection for consumers buying used cars.
“We believe buying a used car should be as safe as buying a new car. With a warranty of up to three years, Otospector aims to set a new standard in Indonesia’s used-car industry,” said Jeffrey Andika, Co-Founder and CEO of Otospector, in a press release.
Jeffrey Andika emphasised that the warranty programme is not merely a service innovation but a commitment to changing public perception of used cars. According to him, consumers no longer need to feel hesitant or worried, because Otospector offers protection that makes the experience of buying a used car calmer and more comfortable.
“We want every consumer to feel confident that the used car they choose remains safe. Otospector’s warranty programme up to three years is a tangible commitment to protect used-car buyers from the risk of unforeseen repair costs,” Jeffrey explained.
Previously, Otospector had offered several warranty periods, ranging from 30 days, three months, to one year. The introduction of a three-year warranty provides an additional option for consumers seeking longer protection.
This service is different from vehicle insurance, which typically covers external risks such as accidents or theft. With this protection in place, consumers are hoped to be more at ease when using a used car, especially in facing potential unforeseen repair costs.
