Otis Appoints Nicolas Lopez as President, Asia Pacific
Singapore, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - Otis Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: OTIS), a world-leading company engaged in the manufacturing, installation, service, and modernization of elevators and escalators, has appointed Nicolas (Nico) Lopez as President, Otis Asia Pacific (APAC), who will assume duties immediately.
As President, APAC, Lopez will lead Otis’ business and operations across Asia, excluding Greater China. He will be responsible for driving growth and transformation by increasing focus on customers and operational excellence in the areas of service, modernization, new equipment, manufacturing, and innovation. In addition, he will strengthen the regional portfolio, workforce, and customer relationships.

Lopez brings extensive experience in commercial, operational, legal, and governance matters. During a decade with Otis, he most recently served as Managing Director, Otis Southeast Asia. He has also led distributor operations in more than 60 countries, and held senior roles in business development and regulatory compliance in the Asia Pacific and Latin America. Lopez also spent almost a decade working for Otis’ former parent company. He holds an MBA from Universidad del CEMA and a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School.
Lopez succeeds Stéphane de Montlivault, who retired after four decades with Otis. Montlivault played a pivotal role in building Otis as an industry leader in Asia and helped found WorkWell Leaders, a nonprofit that promotes mental health in the workplace.
