Medcom.id has officially announced 116 recipients of the Online Scholarship Competition (OSC) Award 2026 at a culminating event held on Friday (17/7). The awardees successfully emerged from thousands of participants after undergoing a rigorous series of selections to obtain a full undergraduate (S1) scholarship.

The OSC 2026 Scholarship Programme once again proved to be one of the private university scholarship programmes attracting significant interest from Indonesia’s younger generation. This year, the number of registrants reached 7,601 participants from various regions across Indonesia.

All participants underwent a gradual and transparent selection process, starting from an Online Test, administrative selection, to a Final Test. From this process, 116 top participants were declared entitled to receive a full scholarship until graduation.

In the 2026 edition, Medcom.id collaborated with 10 private universities located on the islands of Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi. This collaboration provided 145 full undergraduate scholarship quotas for high school graduates wishing to pursue higher education without financial constraints.

Head of Corporate Communications at Medcom.id, Herfindo Gading, affirmed that this programme is part of the company’s commitment to expanding access to education for Indonesia’s younger generation.

“The OSC Scholarship Programme is an educational scholarship programme organised by Medcom.id since 2015 as a form of commitment to expanding access to higher education for Indonesia’s younger generation. Through collaboration with 10 of the best private universities this year, we hope the winners can maximise this golden opportunity for their future,” said Herfindo Gading in Jakarta on Friday (17/7).

The OSC Award 2026 also marks the 12th year of the OSC Scholarship programme since it was first launched in 2015. Over more than a decade, the OSC Scholarship ecosystem has continued to grow by partnering with over 40 universities across various regions of Indonesia.

The programme has provided opportunities for more than 4,080 Indonesian students to pursue higher education. Of that number, 2,300 alumni have completed their studies and are now working in various professional sectors.

In addition to providing tuition fee waivers, the OSC Scholarship also distributes living cost assistance to scholarship recipients in need. To date, the total living cost funds disbursed have reached more than IDR 4.3 billion to 394 scholarship recipients.

Through the 2026 OSC Award, Medcom.id hopes that more Indonesian students will be motivated to pursue higher education through scholarship pathways. The event also serves as a moment of appreciation for the scholarship recipients who will continue their academic journey at various partner universities.
