ROME (AFP): A primary school teacher in Sardinia has been
suspended after silencing her students by taping their mouths
closed or shutting their heads in a small cupboard, a Sardinian
daily reported recently.

The teacher's colleagues at the primary school in the town of
Decimomannu confirmed her "zero tolerance" discipline policy,
corrobating claims made by angry parents, according to the
Sardinian Union.

School authorities have launched an inquiry into the incident,
the paper added.
