Orange Squad's Hunt for Plecostomus in Jakarta
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a simultaneous river cleaning activity on Friday (17/4). This activity was carried out as an effort to maintain cleanliness while controlling the population of plecostomus fish in the capital’s river flows. The event involved sanitation officers, local government, and the community. Through this step, the government hopes that the plecostomus population can be suppressed so that the river ecosystem conditions can gradually recover. The government also invites the public not to litter indiscriminately to maintain environmental sustainability.
