Opting for Gradual Expansion, Polytron Avoids Opening Numerous Dealers at Once

JAKARTA – Polytron is proceeding with caution in expanding its electric vehicle dealer network in 2026. Instead of a large-scale expansion, the company is adding dealers gradually.

Polytron’s Commercial Director, Tekno Wibowo, stated that the addition of electric vehicle dealers this year is targeted at only two locations.

With this addition, Polytron’s dealer network will not yet be widely spread. The company prioritises strengthening the market in existing regions before expanding to other areas.

“In Java and Bali at most, and we are considering the possibility of opening in Medan,” he said.

Tekno explained that the decision not to be aggressive in adding dealers is not without reason. The competitive market conditions require the company to be more selective.

“Yes, we prefer, well, if it’s Javanese people, meaning slow but safe, that’s it,” said Tekno.

The more conservative expansion strategy is expected to maintain business continuity amid competition, while ensuring that every dealer opened operates optimally.
