Optimism for new cabinet

There have been many disgruntled comments on the newly formed
National Unity Cabinet. The critics have expressed their doubts
about the professionalism of the new ministers.

I believe that President Abdurrahman Wahid's selection of
assistants was the best decision although it does not satisfy all
sides. I trust that the ministers can carry out their task in
accordance with the people's hopes and expectations.

It is true that President Abdurrahman can be controversial and
mysterious in his decisions and measures. Before he was President
he often made statements that led to polemics. But what he
contended was proven true. So people came to respect him.

The present Cabinet will be successful. People should not be
prejudiced against Abdurrahman's decision, which was surely taken
after due consideration. Besides, the Cabinet now is a large
improvement to previous ones. Give the ministers a chance to
work. Should they make a mistake, we are there to remind them
about it.
