Optimise Distribution, Pertamina Urges Public to Save Energy and Avoid Panic Buying

Jakarta, VIVA – Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Corporate Secretary, Roberth MV Dumatubun, has invited the public to implement the government’s energy-saving policies through both personal and institutional activities. “The public is also urged not to be easily influenced by unverified information that could trigger panic or panic buying,” Roberth stated in his remarks on Wednesday, 1 April 2026. According to him, efficient and responsible energy use is one of the keys to maintaining national energy resilience. Active public participation in maintaining reasonable consumption will greatly assist the smooth distribution of energy in the field. “Through synergy between the government, security apparatus, and the public, it is hoped that national energy availability can continue to be maintained optimally to support public activities and Indonesia’s economic growth,” Roberth said. On the other hand, he assured that Pertamina Patra Niaga is continuously taking various strategic steps to ensure optimal fuel distribution across the country. Roberth explained that these efforts are carried out through strengthened coordination and negotiations with suppliers, as well as optimisation of the distribution system to keep supplies safe and available for the public. “We reaffirm our commitment to making maximum efforts in facing existing dynamics, prioritising service reliability and the continuity of national energy distribution,” Roberth stated. He conveyed that Pertamina Patra Niaga consistently implements government policies, including no adjustments to prices for either non-subsidised or subsidised fuels. “On the other hand, various strategic efforts are also being undertaken, such as negotiations with suppliers and distribution optimisation, to ensure that energy availability remains maintained for the public,” he added.
