The explosion of investment in data centres is opening new sources of contracts for construction issuers amidst pressures from government spending and a slowdown in projects sourced from the State Budget (APBN).

PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA), for instance, reported that the realisation of new contracts has decreased by 65.47% from 2018 to 2025 due to state budget efficiencies. This situation has ultimately forced contractors to seek alternatives, particularly from the private sector, which possesses long-term investment needs.
