Jakarta (ANTARA) - Oppo is reportedly testing a mid-range phone equipped with a large battery, with a capacity of almost 10,000 mAh.

As reported by Gizmochina on Tuesday (June 2), according to information shared by tech leaker Digital Chat Station, the phone is said to have a measured battery capacity of around 9,700 mAh, with a typical capacity that can reach 10,000 mAh.

If the information is accurate, the phone will surpass the majority of large-battery smartphones currently on the market.

Previous reports at the end of 2025 also mentioned that Oppo was developing a large-capacity single-cell battery that was entering the trial production phase. The battery is said to have a measured capacity of around 9,750 mAh and a typical capacity approaching 10,000 mAh.

Based on the latest leaks, the phone will use a 4nm-based chipset combined with a flat LTPS screen with a resolution of around 1.5K.

In addition, the phone is also said to use high-strength polymer material that is impact resistant and adopts Oppo’s “diamond architecture” design element. This design has previously been applied to several of their devices to improve impact and drop resistance.

One of the highlighted details is the estimated price of the device. Digital Chat Station says Oppo is targeting a price range of 2,000 yuan or around Rp5.3 million, which places it in the mid-range segment rather than the premium segment.

Currently, there are several Chinese phones that carry a 10,000 mAh battery, including Realme through the Realme P4 Power and Realme Narzo Power models, as well as Honor through the Honor Power 2, Honor Win, and Honor WIN RT.

Industry observers believe that other manufacturers will follow this trend if a 10,000 mAh battery becomes the new standard for smartphones in the Chinese market.
